Appointments

Booking An Appointment

East Parade Surgery offers face to face and telephone appointments. For routine issues, we ask that patients submit an eConsultation to the practice so that the GP can triage the request and book you in to the most appropriate appointment for your issue. To complete an eConsult, please click this link:

Consult Online from Home – East Parade Surgery (webgp.com)

You can also book an appointment by calling our Patient Services Team on 01423 566574.

Some of our appointments are delivered by our local shared GP organisation: Yorkshire health Network. These are delivered from various local locations and are offered in the evening or weekends.

The clinicians are also able to undertake video consultations where appropriate.

Non-urgent advice: Urgent Issues

If your problem is an EMERGENCY – DO NOT SEND AN ECONSULT – please ring the Patient Services team on 01423 566574

Our Duty Doctor will be notified of your contact. The Duty Doctor will allocate urgent problems to the most appropriate team member.

Non-urgent advice: Cancel an Appointment

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

To cancel, you can:

Call us on 01423 566574 to cancel your appointment.

Or use our Online System to cancel your appointment.

Chaperones

The Practice is committed to providing a safe comfortable environment where patients and staff can be confident that best practice is being followed at all times and the safety of everyone is of paramount importance.

Home Visits

Whilst we encourage our patients to come to the surgery, where we have the proper equipment and facilities available, we do appreciate this is not always possible. In this respect, if you do need a home visit, you can help us by calling reception before 11:00am.

GPs start visiting after the end of morning surgery. We are unable to guarantee which GP will visit but you may specify a male or female GP.

You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed. Please bear this in mind and be prepared to provide suitable details to enable the doctor to schedule house calls.

Late For Your Appointment

Please attend your appointment on time.  If you are late we may not be able to see you.

Nurse Appointments

Booked nurse appointments in the practice remain available for:

  • wounds, staple and suture removals
  • leg ulcers
  • baby & child routine immunisations
  • other immunisations: Whooping cough in pregnancy; Pneumovax, Zostavax & MMR catch up in adults. (This follows Government advice to ensure that both children and adults continue to be vaccinated for prevalent and high risk diseases.)
