Test Results

Laboratory tests usually take at least 48 hours. Please allow at least two to three working days before enquiring for results. Please note, some test results can routinely take much longer. Please ring after 2.30pm.

Smear tests results may take up to eight weeks to come through; you will be notified with the result by letter directly from the health authority.

X ray results, including chest X rays and all types of scans, take seven working days (ie up to 11 days in total) to return to the GP, so please do not book an appointment too early in order to get these results.
