Health Care Professionals Attached to the Surgery

HEALTH VISITORS

We have two health visitors attached to the practice who are actively involved in all aspects of child health and general health promotion in all age groups. Child development and baby clinics are run on a weekly basis. Please ask at reception for further details.

DISTRICT NURSES

The district nursing team, under the supervision of our experienced sisters, provides nursing care for patients in their own homes. The nurses can advise and support carers for the elderly and disabled. We also have links to the carers resource team. Please enquire if you think this service may help you.

The district nursing team can be contacted during normal working hours via the Ripon Hospital on 01765 602546. You can also contact them out of hours on 01904 621621.

COMMUNITY MIDWIFE

The community midwife provides antenatal and postnatal care jointly with your doctor and the health visitors. She holds a clinic on a Thursday morning, Dr Craven sees antenatal patients on a Tuesday morning and Dr Atkinson sees antenatal patients on a Wednesday afternoon. The midwife can be contacted through Harrogate Hospital on 01423 885959.

SOCIAL SERVICES

Social Services can be contacted direct on 01423 561951. They advise on many issues including benefits, help in the home and accommodation.
