Appointments
ROUTINE APPOINTMENTS
All of the GP appointments are available to book up to 5 weeks in advance. We encourage patients to do this for all non-urgent matters.
We do not run personal lists and are happy for patients to see any of the GPs at the practice. Advance booking means it is easier to book with the GP of your choice. We believe this is important to maintain continuity of care for ongoing chronic medical problems. Some GPs may have longer lead times till their first GP appointment so consider whether you would like to see one of the other GPs.
URGENT APPOINTMENTS
If you feel you have a medical problem that clinically needs seeing sooner than the next available appointment, you will need to speak to reception. They will need to take important clinical details to forward onto the duty doctor. The doctor will then triage your call and decide when the most appropriate slot is.
Please note:
Urgent appointments are given for clinical reasons only. We will not accept patient preference of appointment times / convenience for use of urgent slots. Please respect this – we need to prioritise care to those whom most need it.
EXTENDED HOURS
On Mondays, the practice is open from:
• 7:30am till 8:00pm
• Every week except bank holidays.
These slots are aimed for those whom work and need access out of the day time. Please avoid booking these as they are very valuable unless you have a clear need for these times.
INTERNET ACCESS
All patients over the age of 18 are now able to apply for access to
book routine appointments and order repeat prescriptions on-line.
This facility allows you to view a range of available appointments
and choose the best one for you, cancel appointments and request
repeat prescriptions without having to telephone the surgery. For
more information or to fill in an application form please speak to a
member of reception staff. Patient information leaflets are also
available.
