ROUTINE APPOINTMENTS

The practice runs a full appointment system for all weekday surgeries. About half of our appointments are released each day to be booked on the day you wish to be seen. The other half of our routine appointments can be pre-booked in advance to enable patients to fit visits to the surgery around work commitments or childcare/carer arrangements.

If you are unable to pre-book your appointment, we hope that we will be able to find one for you if you telephone on the day you wish to be seen. You should try to telephone at 8.00am for an on-the-day appointment.
Please tell us if you cannot keep an appointment.

RAPID ACCESS APPOINTMENTS

We also offer a daily rapid access surgery at 11.00am in order to ensure sufficient access to doctors at times of high appointment demand.

These appointments are significantly shorter than a normal routine appointment and are particularly suited to relatively straightforward and quick problems where it is not critical that you see your usual doctor. These appointments are available for routine as well as urgent problems and you will be seen by the first available doctor, rather than a named doctor.

URGENT APPOINTMENTS

If your condition requires urgent medical attention, then we will always make an emergency appointment available to you on the same day, although there may be limited choice of doctor and appointment times. Please help us by not abusing this service.

INTERNET ACCESS

All patients over the age of 18 are now able to apply for access to book routine appointments and order repeat prescriptions on-line. This facility allows you to view a range of available appointments and choose the best one for you, cancel appointments and request repeat prescriptions without having to telephone the surgery.
